Sustainable solutions

Hello,
Have we really found something that works in the long term? For example, those paper straws, you'd think they'd be a solution, but personally, I've often had unpleasant surprises. On the first sip, they get all mushy, and frankly, that's not very pleasant.
I've also seen some interesting stuff in takeaway boxes and drink accessories, like more durable solutions, but sometimes they just don't hold up. And that makes me wonder: are we really moving towards products that will hold up over the long term, or is this just green marketing for show? It's a complex subject, and I get the impression that we're wavering between different solutions without ever really finding one that combines efficiency, practicality and ecology.
